Co- Director’s  biography

Runanira   Richmond  is a  Rwandan  filmmaker   born  in  Kenya in  1983. Joined filmmaking   in  2005  as  a   student  the former   Rwanda  Cinema  Center. He  made  his   first  appearance  on  screen  as  an  actor  in  a  short  film  entitled  “ Scars  of  Days”  released  in  2006  which  featured  on  various  festival  namely  Rwanda  Film  Festival , Tribeca  Film  Festival  among  others in 2007.

In  2008  he  directed  and  released  a  short  film  “ Better  in  than  Out” .  an  area  where  he  got  more  inspirations to keep on  and  ever  since  has  been  working   with  international  filmmakers  as  a  fixer  and  translator in  Kigali. In  2012 , worked  as  a  translator  on  “Open  Heart”  a  documentary  film  which  got  released in  2013 which  won  an  Oscar  award  under  the  Best  short documentary  subject.

Of  recent   he  co-directed   a  documentary  film  entitled  “A  world  without  sound “  that  tells  the  stories of  deaf  community  in  Rwanda,  it  premiered  in  July  2013.In this  year  he  is  looking  forward  to  work  on  more  documentary  films  that  is  being  shared  to  film  festivals  around  the  world
